St. Vincent to collaborate with David Byrne on new record
Speaking to Rolling Stone Magazine St. Vincent, aka Annie Clark, revealed she has recorded an album with Talking Heads man David Byrne.
The collaboration took shape when the pair met each other in May 2009 at a Björk/Dirty Projectors charity show and were approached about working on a similar project. They met up at a studio in New York to begin working together but soon realised they had some real creative chemistry: “We just started writing and kept writing and writing,” said Clark. “”It just evolved to become this much bigger thing.”
The new record is expected to drop this autumn. Clark also revealed her and Byrne will he heading out on the road together in support of the new material.
