SoundCloud founder Forss to launch audio-visual project
SoundCloud founder Eric Wahlforss is set to launch his new project Ecclesia next week with an audio-visual show at Berlin’s legendary Berghain.
Released under Walhforss’ Forss moniker, Ecclesia is a multi-platform exploration of worship music comprising an album, visuals, and an iPad app.
The album consists of processed field recordings of organ performances, congregation chatter, and various wooden, metal, and stone objects found in churches. The project is a reimagining of ecclesiastical music, and demonstrates the predilection for technological exploration that one might expect from the Chief Technical Officer of the world’s best music sharing site.
Ecclesia, Wahlforss’ second album, is out 12 June. He plays Berghain on 2 May, with visuals from CGI artist Leo Lass and app developer Marcel Shobel. Look out for a Best Fit interview with the Wahlforss soon.
