Sing Me To Sleep is a brand new compilation masterminded by American Laundromat Records and visual artist Kate Garchinsky and will feature some of todays best indie artists covering traditional & non-traditional childrens lullabies for charity. All proceeds from the project will be donated to The Valerie Fund, a non-profit charitable organization that provides support for the comprehensive health care of children with cancer and blood disorders. A fantastic cause I think you’ll all agree.
Confirmed artists include; Dean & Britta, Tanya Donelly, Stars, Jenny Owen Youngs & Greg Laswell, Neil Halstead, The Leisure Society, The Real Tuesday Weld, The Rest, Say Hi, Julie Peel, Sigur Ros, Snowbird, Telekinesis, Casey Mecija (Ohbijou), The Antlers, Trespassers William, Papercuts, Peter Broderick, Laura Gibson and many more.
The album is scheduled to release May 2010. We’ll try and get the full tracklisting as soon as possible.

i can’t believe all those bands.
I love: The Real Tuesday Weld, Ohbijou, Laura Gibson, The Antlers, Sigur Ros
and like some of the others too.
It’s about £20 with postage, so feels a bit strange spending that much on something that isn’t out until next year, but I suppose I probably will at some point.
Yup, that’s my handiwork, Anika——and really just a rough sketch. There is still a lot of art to be made for this jawn.
Thanks for the props, Rich!
We’re pretty excited about the lineup.
A little bit o’ track info:
Laura Gibson – “Eidelweiss”
The Real Tuesday Weld – “Little Boxes”
Ohbijou – “Dear Prudence”
The Antlers – “Goodnight Irene”
The Leisure Society – “Inchworm”
The Rest – “Pure Imagination”
More later. :)
Kate
Update: The Antlers have regrettably just left the compilation due to the physical impossibility of recording something in time. They’re touring in your hemisphere for the next 5 weeks though, so please go out and see them. They’re a real treat live.
Just received this limited edition pack in the post- nice and early! Am listening through it now. Shame that The Antlers aren’t on it too.
