run, WALK! announce split, release limited-edition debut album
Noise-rock duo run, WALK! have announced their break-up just before their debut album is to be released.
The statement from the band reads:
“I can’t believe I’m sat here writing this. About 3 and a half years ago Run Walk first come into fruition. We had the common goals of travelling as far as we could, touring as much as possible, playing super loud and having fun. We’ve met some of the best people on our travels many of which have become some of our greatest friends. Sadly as time went on our common goals became harder to maintain. Real life began to take its toll as we grew up, however, as long time best friends and being devoted to playing our music we made it work for a long time but sadly it can’t go on forever.”
But we’re gonna still be able to hear some new stuff from the band, if not for a final time. Their debut, the impossibly pronounceable’☤ ‘, will be released 16 July on Holy Roar.
“One of our best friends, Alex from Holy Roar Records has offered to put out our debut album on 12″. There will 100 copies and no more. Released on 16th July the album is titled ☤ The album is about growing up, meeting new people and coping with extreme change. A little snippet of our lives from the last year or so. We hope you like it. Thank you if you’ve supported us on our journey.”
