Yeah so, you should probably know by now that we <3 Internet Forever a fair bit round these parts. They’re one of those bands that you can instantly like just because they have a fucking great name. Obvsiously it’s fairly handy that they write good songs too. If you haven’t yet heard them, check out our insightful and thought provoking interview with lead singer Laura Wolf here – at the bottom of the post there is a link to ‘Pages Of Books’. Sweet deal.
So this Raygun video that’s been floating around the internets for the past day or so is really funny, right? For all the wrong reason obviously. Makers of said video – Channel 4, must really have their fingers on the pulse as a few weeks back they also filmed an interview with two thirds of our beloved Internet Forever. They get down deep to the core of the band and talk ethics, influences and most intriguingly of all, their method of songwriting. Heartbeeps (or Craig as he’s known to his mum) reveals that “(I) can be knocking up some beats on Garage Band or MS Paint or Solitaire, then we get into a room and completely ignore all that and mash up two genres…” Really fascinating stuff.
