Queens of the Stone Age announce first album in six years
Queens of the Stone Age have confirmed what has long been expected, that they’ll drop a new album in 2013.
It’s nearly been six years since the Josh Homme-led band’s last offering, Era Vulgaris, but now they’ll release new effort Like Clockwork in June.
The record sees a reunion of their “classic” Songs For The Deaf-era line-up, with Dave Grohl, Mark Lanegan and Nick Oliveri all back in the line-up. But the LP will also feature a whole host of guest spots, including Trent Reznor, Elton John and Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears.
The release will be the group’s first on new label Matador, and has been described by the band as sound like a “codeine cabaret”.
