Seminal rapper Nas is set to have his life explored in a new TV series helmed by film director Jonathan Levine.
Levine, perhaps best known for his 2008 movie The Wackness, is developing the idea with XBox Entertainment Studios for a 30 minute series called Street Dreams. The show will be set in ’90s Queens, following “music, family and the trials and tribulations of the rap game”.
Meanwhile, Nas’ debut album Illmatic is set to be reissued for its 20th anniversary.
