Morrissey has replaced a picture of David Bowie with one of Rick Astley as the cover art to his re-release of 1989 single ‘The Last of the Famous International Playboys’, effectively Rick-rolling him in the process…
The singer, who will re-issue the single on 7″ this April, has originally intended on using a photograph depicting both himself and David Bowie as the record’s artwork but Bowie declined to grant permission for Moz to do so.
Instead, Morrissey has turned to another famous friend – albeit a less universally cool one. The photo was taken while the pair were backstage at a 1989 recording of BBC’s Top Of The Pops.
