M.I.A has announced that her fourth record will drop in April 2013.
The ever controversial singer recently leaked a new track herself a few months back, after emailing a demo to a fan. But now it seems a full album proper will follow in a couple of months time.
The singer told Australian magazine Gold Coast Bulletin:
“It’s due in April, which is the Tamil new year – April 15th – and I’m still working on it.”
She’s also revealed how her label have delayed the album after telling her to “darken it up a bit”, as they thought it was “too positive” and not in line with her politicised image of being “public enemy No. 1″.
The record will be called Matangi.
