I could go on about what an incredible, under-rated and oft overlooked artist Kurt Vile is. About how his input on the 2008 debut from War On Drugs helped make it one of my very favourite records of the past decade. About how his new solo album Childish Prodigy (out via Matador on 6th October) will no doubt end up in the high regions of many critics end of year lists. But I won’t, because this news piece would just turn into ONE BIG GUSH.
So instead, I’ll say thus: Kurt Vile will be playing a ONE OFF London show at The Lexington, London on 15th December. I’m excited, and you should be too. Need convincing? Download album track ‘Overnite Religion’ and watch a performance of ‘Freak Train’ from this years SXSW Festival below.
Over and out.

Whoa, this guy is so amazing! His music is like a real treasure you’d find in a dusty attic, the feel, the atmosphere…
Thanks for the introduction, I can assure you didn’t come off like a gushing fanboy ;)
