Justin Vernon, Animal Collective, Haim & more set for Cassette Store Day releases
As previously reported, the first-ever Cassette Store Day has been announced for this coming September – with a new batch of releases now announced.
The event, described as ”a celebration of a physical product that is accessible, fun, cheap and still going strong in the turbulent current musical climate”, has been plotted for an inaugural unveiling on 7 September.
Along with already-unveiled releases from At The Drive-In, Flaming Lips, Los Campesinos!, Deerhunter and more, there has now been a flurry more tape-based goodies announced from Animal Collective, Haim, Guided by Voices, JJ Doom and Justin Vernon’s Volcano Choir.
You can find out more information on each of their releases here.
Cassette Store Day will take place on 7 September at London’s Rough Trade East store, as well as in venues across Los Angeles, New York and Tokyo.
