Ja Ja Ja returns in February with Smerz, View, and CTM
London's finest Nordic music celebration Ja Ja Ja returns next month, with Smerz, View, and CTM all set to showcase their talents.
Norwegian production pair Smerz have been gaining acclaim for their potent dance sounds. Their minimalist house beats and candied R&B vocals have been the cause of much chatter - they've found fans in the UK already, including at BBC Radio 1.
View is a Helsinki-based rapper tipped for big success in 2016; he's riding high following the release of his Avalon EP, a mesmerising display of experimental production and dazed rhymes.
Danish cellist/composer CTM (aka Cæcilie Trier Musik) combines jazz, pop, electronic, and classical sounds to create something immediately absorbing. We previewed the recent mini-album, Suite For A Young Girl, inspired by Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita.
The first Ja Ja Ja club night of 2016 takes place 25 February at the usual spot of The Lexington. Tickets are £7 in advance, or a fiver for Ja Ja Ja members (sign up for free and get other goodies too!).
