Hole announce London gig in February

6th January 2010

Courtney Love’s Hole *titter* have announced a gig in London for February, some 11 years after last playing a live show.

Of course, this wouldn’t be Courtney without some issues, and the question will be whether they do actually perform as the band Hole due to legal action…

From The Guardian:

Hole co-founder Eric Erlandson has criticised Love’s use of the band-name, and though the announcement came via an official Hole Facebook page, there is no mention of the word “Hole” on their new website.

Initially described as Love’s second solo album, Nobody’s Daughter was rebranded as a Hole project in June 2009. While the record still doesn’t have a release date or a label, Love has formally solidified her band – listing British guitarist Micko Larkin, bassist Shawn Dailey and drummer Stu Fischer. This lineup will perform in London, Amsterdam and Milan.

Anyway… enough of that. If you’re interested, catch the act at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 17th Feb.

Priority Tickets for O2 customers to see Hole at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire are available now.
