Ebony Day beats HAIM, Angel Haze & more to win 'MTV Brand New For 2013′
Unsigned singer Ebony Day has beaten the likes of HAIM, Angel Haze and Disclosure to be crowned ‘MTV Brand New For 2013′.
The British musician, just 19 years of age, received 40% of votes – with Gabrielle Aplin, K Koke, Kodaline and Rascals also in the top five.
Day had won MTV’s unsigned competition to fill the tenth spot in the list, which also feature Little Nikki and Tom Odell.
MTV’s Anna Karatziva said:
“We are proud that the MTV Brand New Unsigned competition has unearthed a future star in Ebony in only its second year and, like Conor Maynard and other winners before her, Day will now benefit from wide-ranging MTV support at this exciting time in her career.”
The poll was voted for by the public, with 260,000 votes being cast in total.
