Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon debut new Blur song ‘Under The West Way’
Not only did War Child’s 2012 Brit Awards gig last night see Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon reunite ahead of the Awards ceremony on Tuesday, but the pair unveiled a new song Blur song entitled ‘Under The West Way,’ a live version of which you can listen to here (via CoS).
The first new material from the band since 2010’s Record Store Day release ‘Fool’s Day’, the new track was performed on only a guitar and a piano after the duo had played ‘He Thought Of Cars’ and ‘Strange News From Another Star.’
“It’s a new song we wrote just up the road a couple of weeks ago,” Albarn told the audience of the new song.
Blur are set to perform as a four-piece at the 2012 Brit Awards this Tuesday (21 February), where they are also due to receive the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Music’ award.
