Beck performs Song Reader with Jarvis Cocker, Charlotte Gainsbourg and basically every other musician ever
As previously reported, Beck played in London last night, marking his first ever live performance of last year’s Song Reader sheet-music album.
For the special occasion, the man called on many famous friends to help bring the songs from paper to stage. Among them were (and take a deep breath now) Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker, Franz Ferdinand, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Beth Orton, Kate Tempest, The Staves, Michael Kiwanuka, the Guillemots, punk poet John Cooper Clarke, actual poet Simon Armitage and, even more bizarrely, comedy duo The Mighty Boosh as well.
