Bear Scotland, a collective of musicians and artists (home to TLOBF fave Meursault) are set to put on a show that intends to turn the standard ‘one band one stage’ idea of a gig on its head as three of the collectives acts -Enfant Bastard, Dead Boy Robotics and The Foundling Wheel- will all perform simultaneously on one stage to create a swathing orgy of noise.
The three bands will merge as one to become Versus, the idea being that, three bands multiplied by one stage will create an endless set of possibilities, allowing the bands to feed off of each other – or as the press sheet says “breed like rabid, blood-lusting mongrels on heat”.
So if you fancy a night of experimentation and don’t mind your aural senses being molested for a few hours, head on down to Edinburgh College of Art (The Wee Red Bar), this Saturday 7th March at 19:30 for what promises to be a very unique show indeed.
Here’s a little info on the three bands that make up Versus.
The Foundling Wheel
Builds noise-saturated, melody-laced mountains of programmed polyrhythms and bit-crushed distortion.

DeadBoyRobotics
Spits out call-and-response broken-beat synth-punk at splintering decibels.

Enfant Bastard
Circuit-bending drum-machine-addled anti-folk that can rarely be arsed to finish what it started.
