Beach Boys collaborator Paul Tanner dies at 95

Glenn Miller Orchestra trombonist and one-time Beach Boys collaborator, Paul Tanner has died at the age of 95.

The musician, best known for the “space-age hook” in 1966 hit ‘Good Vibrations’, passed away of pneumonia on Tuesday (5 February).

Tanner, a music lecturer at UCLA, also recorded a solo album, Music for Heavenly Bodies, with his music used in several TV shows.
