Azealia Banks cancels flurry of festival appearances
So the Azealia Banks saga continues. After featuring on a Lana Del Rey remix just this morning, this afternoon sees the artist’s management announcing that she won’t be appearing at many previously-billed festivals this summer.
Among the big-name events cancelled are Germany’s Rock Am Ring, London’s Lovebox, Way Out West in Sweden, Oya in Oslo, Ibiza Rocks and Bestival.
Other UK festival affected include Rockness in Scotland, Rough Beats Festival in Yorkshire and Wales’ Wakestock fest.
You can read a list of those cancelled and the ones still going ahead (including appearances at both Reading and Leeds) here.
Azealia Banks had previously pushed back her forthcoming debut EP and in the meantime has reportedly switched management three times.
Her current management say the cancellations are due to recording commitments.
