Are Gorillaz gearing up to release a new album?
Gorillaz have suddenly erupted on social media, activating their Instagram account and whipping through the (hefty) back catalogue.
Last February the band's Jamie Hewlett told the world that the band were back, or at least coming back, but all fell quiet (mostly).
Now, with a flurry of posts across the board, it seems like Gorillaz are on the way back. It's a bit threadbare on the ol' proof front we'll admit, but the band have been in hibernation for yonks, and coupled with their nostalgic tour through their early tunes it looks like they're building up to something. Reissues? Maybe, but seeing as we've heard that a new album does exist, that feels unlikely.
They've quietened down again on socials for now, but there's plenty more Gorillaz classics to chew through. Would be bloody weird if the just came back to remind us all about their first album, wouldn't it?
Gorillaz last released a record - The Fall - in 2011.
