Fiction x I Ching – Drive // Song Of The Day #438 [Best Fit Premiere]
I Ching’s recent single on our very own Best Fit Recordings was nothing short of a marvel, even if we do say so ourselves. But far from us being simply egotistical here, it’s strength lay in the consistency between the two tracks with B-sider ‘Drive’ giving it’s lead counterpart ‘It’s Me’ a very good run for it’s money on who’s gonna get all the airplay.
Well Fiction certainly seems to have chosen their favourite out of the very tight race, taking on ‘Drive’ and reworking it’s tranquil brilliance. Some remixers like to adhere to the essence of the original, while others like to tear tracks a new expletive (don’t worry Star Slinger, not saying any names) but this one is definitely something of the former, following the same blissful progression but giving it a more strung-out feel.
‘It’s Me’/‘Drive’ came out last month as our BESTFIT001 release, and you can still buy copies of the single here.
