Button Eyes' dub-inflected new song hears Silvertongu3 & Peggy Sue's Rosa Slade on vocals [Premiere]
Led by South London producer Lewis Lindgren (aka 184), Button Eyes is a project that sees Lindgren invite diverse artists to collaborate. Today we are delighted to premiere "Tell Me I'm Wrong", an eclectic and fascinating composition which features newcomer Silvertongu3 and Peggy Sue's Rosa Slade on vocals.
Carried with beautiful Oriental flute samples, ostinato bass and Silvertongu3's leading soulful lulls, the track soon establishes itself as quite the eclectic piece of music. Think dub transported to the Far East: world music laden with accessible and inspiring touch points.
Speaking about the track, Lindgren said: "It was great to get Silvertongu3 and Rosa Slade (Peggy Sue) to sing together on a track, as I know they both appreciate each other's music. I'm sure it'll be the first of many collaborations between these two and Button Eyes because the styles all complement each other so well."
