Listen: Young War - “By Now” [Premiere]
Neatly blending sultry RnB and atmospheric alt-pop, Young War has emerged with an impressive new track nodding to the likes of Alt-J and sitting him somewhere amongst other talented newcomers Phoria and Sivu.
Produced by Swiss producer/artist Pablo Nouvelle - who also plays keyboards across the Trinity EP where the track is taken from - this latest cut showcases the Manchester newcomer’s eye-catching style: metronomic electronic beats working their way beneath brilliantly bumbling bass and crisp keys. The refrain, bolstered by warm layers of backing vocals, calls in sad romance: “If I loved you baby / wouldn’t I know it by now?” adding a cooling beauty to proceedings.
