SBTRKT uncorks glitchy remix of Adele's Chasing Pavements from 2008

Adele has dominated the airwaves and the Internet over the past few weeks, and no one has been immune to her presence. That includes electronic super-producer SBTRKT, who liberated a twitchy, lo-fi remix of the singer's first international hit this week.

This new version of "Chasing Pavements" is a far cry from the original, with a buzzy, muted soundscape replacing the orchestral swoon provided by Eg White.

SBTRKT's sound isn't quite as ambitious and sprawling as it was on Wonder Where We Land, but he does create an interesting juxtaposition between Adele's voice and the synth-heavy instrumental.

He has plenty of fun chopping up the chorus, and the track has an enjoyably low-stakes feel throughout. It does seem lke something SBTRKT cooked up in his spare time, and the record offers an intriguing glimpse at the producer before his rise to fame.

You're not going to be able to escape the melodrama of "Hello" or the rest of 25 in the forseeable future, so SBTRKT's remix is a nice change of pace.
