Dakota debut bittersweet dream-pop number “Silver Tongue”.
The Dakota girls are back with "Silver Tongue", a gorgeous slice of indie pop.
The Dutch four-piece began to cause a stir late last year with the release of their first EP Leda, seeing the band gain traction with their hazy and downbeat tones.
Opting to only take a short pit stop between releases, Dakota are back with what proves to be their best release to date. Listeners are steadfastly dunked back into the lucid humidity of their music, taut, rumbling basslines pinning the core of otherwise loosely decorative accompaniments. Lulling guitars weave nonchalantly over skittish drumbeats, with vocalist Lisa Brammer whispering clandestine words intended for no other.
