While not as upbeat as the lead, this cut seems actually the stronger track overall. A bit more subdued, the song flows a lot more freely and carves itself out better as a whole.
And that’s not even mentioning the killer chorus: “She gets up and I’m still awake / Please go easy on me, Sunday.”
It’s a track that really epitomises the early-90s, just look at that rather slap-dash press shot above for example. They seem to be method-acting Empire Records. You’d be forgiven for thinking they were pulling a Summer Camp and using ironic antique snaps, if it wasn’t for the poster bearing the year “2012″ in the top corner.
