Cover versions are always a touchy subject, but I think if you’re going to let anyone have a go at giving their own take on one of your tracks then you’ll be pretty comfortable with St Vincent‘s Annie Clark. I think it’s what you’d call “leaving it in a safe pair of guitar-wielding hands”. Sadly, she doesn’t erupt into an impromptu solo though.
