Olafur Arnalds‘ tastes are pretty eclectic. Having started out drumming in hardcore bands, he is now best known for his fantastically delicate modern classical compositions – or, in fact, for his ballet score.
Arnalds’ latest project, Kiasmos, is a collaboration with Bloodgroup member Janus Rasmussen. ‘Thrown’ has all the melodic simplicity of Arnald’s classical pieces, but the hook here is the kick-and-bass combination, taken straight out of the Detroit playbook.
