After a few years of laying low, Canada’s queen indie bee Feist has been very busy the past few weeks.
First she announced her forthcoming LP Metals, to be released 4 October, then she premièred a track from that very record and here she is popping her pretty head up again with a beautiful rendition of Velvet Underground classic ‘Femme Fatale’.
Her take on the 1967 track is a sleeker and smoother affair than the Germanic tones employed by Nico on the original, but backed by Radiohead‘s Nigel Godrich and Colin Greenwood, they combine to echo the rough baritone of Lou Reed.
