Brighton’s Fear Of Men have released a new track, ‘Born’, which you can have a listen to below.
Sonically a lot clearer than their previous efforts, as the former lo-fi haze is slowly shed and the band go for indie pop gold, but the bittersweetness that made us fall in love with the band in the first place still remains. As perfectly exemplified in the lines: “I remember being born, I’ll remember when I die”. Although we may have to protest the actual truth behind these lyrics.
‘Born’ is the b-side to the recently-revealed track ‘Green Sea’, which is set to see a physical outing next month.
The single is set for release as a 7″ on Sexbeat, dropping 18 June on limited-edition white vinyl. There’ll only be 300 copies so hurry quick and pre-order now.
The band are also playing a free launch show at London’s Old Blue Last on 19 June, with support coming from Virginia Wing and JAWS. More info on that can be found here.
