Track By Track: Boys on Love On Tour

20 May 2016, 12:00
Words by Laurence Day

Swedish indie pop outfit Boys, led by HOLY's Nora Karlsson, tell us all about new EP Love On Tour.

Karlsson writes for us about the short-player, which was recorded and performed almost entirely on her own (HOLY's Hannes Ferm added some drums). Listen to "Happy Hour" below and check ou the Track By Track guide after.

Happy Hour

I wrote this song the day after I came home from an UK tour with HOLY last year. I had so much fun, we played shows every night, slept in the car because we couldn't afford hotel, fell in love a bit. It was pretty hard to come home to reality after that, so instead of doing things I was supposed to do, I wrote this song.

All My Friends

This song is about longing for something that isn't there anymore. In my case it’s about my hometown and the life I had there a few years ago.

In My Mind

Some years ago my best friend moved really far away from me. I was in school at that time and everything seemed very dark and meaningless, so when I got to know she was leaving again I got really sad and I wrote this song.

Seventeen

It’s called Seventeen because I was seventeen when I wrote it. This is like a naive love song about stuff you feel when you're young and in love and you don't make time for anything or anyone else than this person, and how that can be the dumbest thing you can do.

Boys' Love On Tour EP is out now via PNKSLM.
