An artist whose sound is described as understated, evocative, catchy and commanding, Best Fit Recordings recently announced the signing of Swedish siren FAYE to our family of artists; a songstress whose perfect blend of electronica and pop leaves an indelible impression upon all who listen in.
The new single, ‘Water Against The Rocks’ premiered on Pop Justice a week or so back, with the influential popular culture site calling the track “extraordinary”. We couldn’t agree more. Since then, love has poured in from The Independent (“a formidable creative force”), The Guardian (“spectacular”) whilst The FADER cited the track as “cathartic pop for when you’re feeling abandoned”. ‘Water Against The Rocks’ is to be released digitally on June 25 with a limited edition 7″ b/w ‘Come To Me’ due out in July. London based promoter White On White have teamed up with Best Fit Recordings and Hybris to present FAYE’s debut UK performance on June 27 at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen.
Support on the evening comes from Flowers In The Air and Azure Blue.
A true Swedish indie-pop legend; Johan Holmlund, the founding member of classic group EASY, presents his all new project Flowers In The Air. Some say the now infamous Gothenburg scene that has since spawned The Embassy, The Honeydrips, Air France et al would not exist without EASY. Holmlund’s new band Flowers In The Air produce life affirming jangly pop gems. Simply glorious.
Azure Blue is the solo project of Stockholm’s Tobias Isaksson. Nostalgia fuelled pop harking back to the heyday of Factory Records, Isaksson’s material is deeply romantic with a deft production slight of hand that can single-handedly break your heart and indeed heal it in one fell swoop.

FAYE will also perform a free-entry show on Saturday, June 30 at Stockholm’s Debaser Slussen with DJ support from Hybris, Best Fit Recordings, Loaded and Alexander Henriksson. More details on that show can be found here.
