Tonight the inner chamber of an undersized music hall on the seedier end of a historic East End market street at the back end of Hoxton turns out to be a surprisingly fitting stopover for Seattle-born Mike Hadreas, aka Perfume Genius.
About Rosie Jackson

Deer Tick – The Black Dirt Sessions
It would be a mistake to describe Deer Tick as a one trick pony. After six years in the game and still without a trick to their name, this is a band content to circle the same old pastures of their ancestors without so much as a cheeky hoof out of place.

Dead Man’s Bones – Dead Man’s Bones
The brain child of two actors, this side project brims with plenty of great tunes and ideas. Rosie Jackson reviews.

OOIOO – Armonico Hewa
Given that the title of their sixth record, Armonico Hewa, is a nonsensical melange of Spanish and Swahili loosely translatable as “harmonious air”, you never quite sure what you’re going to get with OOIOO.

Hecuba – Paradise
Hecuba’s brand of witchy electro-art pop is so hot right now. Another camera-friendly boy/girl duo from Southern California, they’re easy to typecast, harder to pin down.
TLOBF Interview :: Noah and the Whale
Rosie Jackson meets up with Noah & The Whale main man Charlie Fink to discuss influences, films and that difficult second album and the problem with perception as well as reception.

Dan Black – Un
