Destroyer signs to Dead Oceans, announces European tour
Purveryors of all that is awesome; Dead Oceans (home to Phosphorescent, White Hinterland, Bowerbirds and The Tallest Man On Earth) have announced that they are to release the latest album from Dan Bejar’s alter-ego Destroyer. Kaputt is already out digitally but will get the physical treatment on June 13. Bejar will also tour Europe including a rare London show at Heaven on June 28.

While there is nothing particularly new or innovative about Moody, Standard and Poor, that was never going to be the point of this record. Rather the purpose of the record here it would seem, was to make a set of dynamic, infectious and driving rock songs to move both the feet and the head. Mission Accomplished.
