Wavves returns with a new album this Summer. Appropriately titled King of the Beach, it will be released on 2nd August via Bella Union. That’s the lovely cover art above.
After the weird and wonderful last couple of year’s Nathan Williams (aka Wavves) has had, it’s good to know he’s been back recording music.
“There was a conscious effort going into this that I didn’t want to make the same record again. I already made the same record twice, with the same f*cking cover art,” says Williams. “It wasn’t overbearing, but I didn’t want to recreate something I’d done. I wanted to make something bigger, something stronger.”
More information when we get it!

well…i can tell you this…King Of The Beach IS a beast of a record! no two ways of saying this. many folks were thinking this would be another hyped up fuss about not v much and lining up to throw a rock or two, and you doubt at your peril, for this is just the record the music business has been waiting for, by an artist who really DOESNT GIVE A FUCK about record labels and arse like that. It really is THAT good. The punk record that will define 2010.
