Nedry // Tour Diary Day 1

Day 1 – Brighton

We set off from Bowl of Rice HQ (Chris’ house) on our first UK tour. 17 dates over 19 days. Our first show took place in Brighton on a gorgeous day where the sun was shining. The Basement, our venue for the night saw us play in an intimate space with about 50 people who made the journey down into the cushioned emporium. It was a great start to the tour, where the promoter Jeff had hand picked a perfect selection of artists who all shared a similar aesthetic. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the audience were really attentive and ultimately there for the music which was just magic. It kind of reminded us a bit of some of the shows that we had played in Japan last year. Thanks to everyone that came to the show and thanks to Type PR who put it all together. A further thanks to Raf & O and Lost Idol who both brought some excellent sounds to the night.

We’re taking the day off before heading to Winchester and the Southampton University of Arts Student Union for Monday. But today is a day where we can pretend we’re a new band, just turned 17, as we’re stayed with Matt’s parents last night and will stay with Chris’ parents tonight. How Rock are we! Meanwhile, Matt’s brother is on tour with a hardcore metal band and they’ve spent the last 6 nights sleeping the back of a transit!

More news soon!

And it was damn uncomfortable I can tell thee. We’re stealing your bus next time!

Hope it goes well, look forward to seeing the outcome of the Winchester show.
