The Southbank Centre has announced that folk legend Richard Thompson will be the Artistic Director of this year’s, the 17th, Meltdown Festival.
The festival takes place in the concert halls and spaces of London’s riverside arts centre, including the Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall.
No announcement as to who’ll be playing… but these things always turns up interesting selections, and I think Thompson will pick some unexpected artists…
