Everyone knows the story by now… Mat Brooke – lead singer and guitarist with Grand Archives was formerly Ben Bridwell’s songwriting partner in Band Of Horses, circa-Everything All The Time, he left shortly after its release in 2006 to tread his own path (after working with Bridwell in Band Of Horses predecessor Carissa’s Wierd) to eventually go on to form Grand Archives. Amazingly, even after the huge media attention surrounding GA’s 2008 debut album, The Grand Archives, the band still have yet to perform here in the UK. All that’s about to change though….
Following on from last years sophomore album Keep In Mind Frannkenstein (released via Sub Pop September ’09) the quartet are set to play their first ever UK show at London’s Borderline on Friday 5th February. What’s more, the kind folk at Sub Pop have given us a pair of tickets to giveaway to one lucky reader.
