Very excited to announce that Dayve Hawk – the man behind one of the most talked about records of 2009 – has revealed his first ever live shows. Memory Tapes will be flying over to the UK next month to showcase tracks from his debut album Seek Magic which has appeared in pretty much every “Best Of 2009″ list published so far. Rightly so, too.
So far, Memory Tapes is only booked for two shows – one in Manchester and one in London, but we can confirm there are more in the pipeline – both in the UK and US. More on that within the next few days hopefully.
Memory Tapes’ new single “Graphics” is due out January 11th via Something in Construction.
January
16 Manchester – The Corner
20 London – Luminaire (w/ Fitness Club Fiasco)
Support on the London date comes from the newest signing to Something In Construction – the incredibly promising Fitness Club Fiasco. Seemingly plucked out of nowhere from Bristol, Fitness Club are a self-proclaimed “4-piece electro-pop jungle gym” – their debut single “Forest City” is the missing link between The Postal Service and Pet Shop Boys and is, simply put, utterly joyful. Stream the single in full below – get excited – then buy tickets for what will surely be an unmissable show.
