Talk amongst the lucky few who have managed to hear Teen Dream, the hugely anticipated follow up to 2008 album Devotion, would suggest that Beach House have made the record of their career. Judging by ‘Norway’ – the first taster of the record and indeed first single (7″ inch vinyl is released on 11th January) the rumours are true. Perhaps their most mature and focused 4 minutes to date, even after the first play ‘Norway’ reveals itself as a sure fire future classic.
Teen Dream will be released on January 25th via Bella Union in the UK and Sub Pop in the States. Early days obviously, but it wouldn’t suprise me come this time next year Teen Dream will be sweeping the board of many a year end list. Essential listening – download below.
