BBC Four has a new, upcoming programme untitled Krautrock – The Rebirth of Germany. The documentary will feature interviews with Neu!, Kraftwerk and Faust.
It’lll broadcast 9pm on Friday 23 Oct. The programme looks at how the radical generation of ‘Krautrockers’ rebuilt a new German musical identity out of the cultural ruins of war. See a snippet below:
Also, tonight on BBC Four will see the start of Synth Britannia featuring Daniel Miller, Richard H Kirk, Martin Gore, Vince Clarke, Andrew Fletcher, Philip Oakey, Martyn Ware, Gary Numan, Bernard Sumner, Alison Moyet and Neil Tenant. Marvellous.
