Danny Seim is mad. And prolific. Not only is he a fully paid up member of the Portland art-pop trio Menomena (in which he drums, and, along with the other two members, sings, writes, composes, arranges, deconstructs, and reassembles), he was the sole, inexhaustible, and promotion-averse member of Lackthereof.

Seim’s side project will get the “Greatest Hits” treatment next month as FILMguerrero will release a limited-edition retrospective of the work of Lackthereof. Entitled A Lackthereof Retrospective 1998-2008, or I was a Christian Emo Twentysomething this will be the 10th full-length Lackthereof release. Containing the best of Seim’s Lackthereof work, it was selected by him from a tracks. The record will be available as a limited-edition CD (featuring 20 new original illustrations by Seim) and at finer digital retailer shops.

For a taste of A Lackthereof Retrospective 1998-2008, or I was a Christian Emo Twentysomething, you can download the track “Safely In Jail” here!
