We’re very pleased to be able to offer an exclusive stream of the new Leisure Society EP A Product Of The Ego Drain, which gets its release on Monday 5th October. The EP has been compiled to accompany the re-issue of TLS’ debut album The Sleeper (originally released in March earlier this year) which has been repackaged by the bands new label Full Time Hobby.
A Product Of The Ego Drain features eight songs in all: ‘Save It For Someone Who Cares’ and ‘A Short Weekend Begins With Longing’ – first heard on The Sleeper – have been re-recorded to glorious effect. Also included are ‘A Passing Thought’ and ‘Bona Fide’ – longstanding live favourites but until now – previously unreleased. Fans will also be happy to discover that TLS’ cover version of the Gary Numan classic ‘Cars’ (first heard on a Radio 2 session from earlier in the year) has been recorded especially for this very EP.
All in all, it’s a wonderful companion piece to one of the strongest debut albums of 2009. Pre-order The Sleeper and A Product Of The Ego Drain via the Full Time Hobby shop, and whilst you’re doing that – sample the EP in full below.
