How quickly September has arrived. As the trees start to loose their leaves and the long festival season comes to the end of the line, we can at least rejoice in the fact that bands are starting to tour again…This month will see shows from Oh! Canada faves The Pack A.D, Julie Doiron, Bell Orchestre, The Acorn, Ohbijou, Sunset Rubdown and the Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir while shows from Do Make Say Think, Wintersleep, Immaculate Machine, The Tragically Hip and Ox are also in the pipeline. In the meantime, Oh! Canada is ready to unleash Volume 4 of our download series, including music from Chad Vangaalen’s Black Mold project, a double whammy of Canadian goodness with Kid Koala remixing Bell Orchestre, exclusives from Ohbijou sideproject Kite Hill, a straight from the mixing desk sample from the forthcoming Evening Hymns record, not to mention a unique collaboration between John K Sampson of The Weakerthans and Inuit throat singer Nikki Komakslatiksak. And, as ever, plenty more besides.
