Bella Union are about to celebrate their 12th birthday with a run of shows at West London’s prestigious Bush Hall venue. To coincide with the week of gigs, the label are taking over The Line Of Best Fit for a week of exclusive content including interviews with some of the biggest acts on their ever growing roster. We’ll let you do the guess work, but trust me when I say you should start to get excited round about now.
Mark 7th-13th September in your diaries. There will be new stuff being posted every day and none of it is to be missed! Acts playing include My Latest Novel, Chimes and Bells, Banjo or Freakout, The Acorn, Ohbijou and the hugely anticipated live return of Danish wunderkinds The Kissaway Trail.
Ok. To the task at hand.
We’ll be closing the week of Bella Union festivities with a feature called “The People vs. Simon Raymonde”. It will be your chance to ask the great man anything you like. From the days playing in the Cocteau Twins or the highs and lows of running a record label to his favourite cured meat or his thoughts on the Oasis split (though I can probably predict that answer) – literally anything goes. Simon will answer a selection of the emailed questions and the interview will be published on Friday 11th September.
It doesn’t stop there either. Simon will be rewarding the smartest/wittiest/most interesting question with an extra special Bella Union goodie bag. Oh yes. More details on that soon.
