Manchester singer-songwriter Liam Frost has announced details of his second album.
We Ain’t Got No Money, Honey, But We Got Rain will be released on 28th September through his own Emperor Records. It will be preceded by a new single, ‘Held Tightly In Your Fist’ on the 14th September.
The album was produced by Victor Van Vught in New York, and features a duet with Martha Wainwright called ‘Your Hand In Mine’. The album’s title is inspired by a poem by American beat writer, Charles Bukowski.
‘Your Hand In Mine’ is currently available as a free download on Liam’s MySpace page.
Liam Frost: “This album has been a long time in the making, and I’m really proud of it. Every hazard that stood in the way of me getting to this stage has now passed, and I cannot wait to just get it out there.”
“Martha’s an amazing artist, so it was great to work with her on my album. We’re not exactly Sonny and Cher, but we’d have definitely given Ike and Tina Turner a run for their money.”
Liam Frost plays the Mammals Gallery at Manchester Museum on the 31st July. Tickets are on sale now for £8.50.
