Fleet Foxes stick-man, and prolific talented solo artist in his own right, J. Tillman is set to release Year In The Kingdom on Bella Union and Western Vinyl in September (Pitchfork says 22nd, but I haven’t seen any official source on that). This will make it the second album he’s released in one year, with Vacilando Territory Blues appearing back in January, and the sixth solo album of his career.
Pitchfork has a song, called ‘Earthly Bodies’, off of the new album. It sounds like J. Tillman usually sounds like, which is definitely a good thing.
