oooooooooooooh look! they got hair and beards and shit.
Cool, is that true it is produced by Josh Homme? I read differently (god knows where) some weeks ago.
I’m intrigued but only because Josh Homme is involved. If he gets them sounding anything like Kyuss it should be interesting.
The guy on the right… I swear he’s not actually in Arctic Monkeys. They’ve done a swap and not told anyone.
My thoughts exactly Matt – if Homme is involved and carefully moulding this sound, this could be VERY interesting. Their last album was heavily influenced by QOTSA, by their own admission. Bring it on.
I am very dubious about this. Liked the second one, but they don’t have a stoner history. It’s all Libertines twang. Will see.
Sounds like the Arctic Monkeys have found a great way to become even more boring! lol
Remember how they used to be like the biggest band in the country and Gordon Brown namedropped them to be ‘cool’ and stuff? WEIRD.
hmm. As Josh Homme is one of my personal pet hates….I can’t see this being a good thing.
Don’t let a personal hatred get in the way of a great guitar sound though, Ro.
i really don’t like the way it sounds tho…its sort of smug. I always prefered the fumanchu stylezzzz
Queens maybe, but on Blues for the Red Sun and Sky Valley – smug? No way.
but it will be “queens” production…..or even worse, whatever his new band is called
True enough. They should have gone for Chris Goss.
