mln_bush-hall-web_500px

We are thrilled to announce that Scottish quintet and firm TLOBF favourites My Latest Novel are to launch their brand new album Deaths & Entrances at a special concert at Bush Hall, London on May 25th.

The show, which TLOBF have arranged in conjunction with The Moonshine Jamboree will also feature the folk-loveliness of Stars Of Sunday League and chamber pop favourites Left With Pictures and 4AD’s newest signings It Hugs Back. The world famous Bella Union DJs Carpet Byrne and Jupiter Bottleburst will be spinning tunes in between acts. An evening of sheer joy – guaranteed.

Tickets are on sale now priced at £8. Get yours here. Or, if you follow TLOBF on Twitter, you can get yourselves on the cheap list for £6! Just look at past tweets for info how.

For those of you that are itching to hear the new album, we posted an exclusive track ‘All In All Is All’ a few weeks ago.  Defiant and dramatic with soaring instrumentation and gorgeous harmonies – the song is a definite standout from an all round glorious album. Give it a listen here.

We will be announcing two support acts very soon, so keep your eyes peeled. For now, feel free to take guesses as to who they may be!

Deaths & Entrances will be released via Bella Union on May 18th. My Latest Novel will be touring the UK in full throughout May, check their website for further details.

I had just posted on the dis news about this, but I’ll do the same here.
The ticketweb site says that Ohbijou are the support, oooh. Which is very exciting for me, as I would’ve missed their previous gigs, due to being in Ireland.
Will it be another Bella Union band as support too?
But I’m travelling back from Ireland that day, so I may be utterly knackered. Hmmmm.

Ohbijou are not confirmed as yet. The Ticketweb info is a mistake… they have been approached though and we should here back soon. If they confirm, it’ll more than likely be a joint album launch.

And the third band arent a Bella Union group no.

Thats my fault on TW… -looks sheepish- was a misunderstanding a should be confirmed soon. Unfortuneatly can’t take it down as everyone is away on easter weekend!

MLN were cracking at Bardens tonight if anyone here as there!

It looks like it’s taken down. Really hope Ohbijou do confirm, as it would be a shame to have missed their flurry of UK gigs. When is the Ohbijou album out anyway?

  5. Anthony April 11, 2009 at 11:48 am #

I think it’s out somewhere around the date of the gig 25th May give or take.

Ohbijou album is out 1st June.

a little tid bit too, in the release schedule im looking at – the acorn are releasing a single featuring guy garvey on 22nd june. no more info other than that, but still pretty interesting.

i aint promoting the other tour dates sonny jim – that’s why i added a link to their website.

ok – let’s clear up this ohnijou thing.

unfortunately – they are NOT going to be able to perform at the show. which sucks big time, but we are working on getting someone rather very special in as main support. more soon.
