Just happened across this article, and it's good to see Alejandro is so well appreciated in Europe. I have followed him ever since the first time I saw him in the early 90's in Austin, Texas. This is where I live. I knew he had and was something special way back then, blending rock with brass instruments, listening to him in the parking lot of the Old Waterloo on 4th Street. He has brought tears to my eyes many times and he's a real treasure for us. He's our's but we are more than willing to loan him out as often needed. Thanks Alejandro.

No that was not me he was sitting a bit in front of me, It would appear that there were a few of us there.

A beer is owed to him indeed, but I bet it was just one of the best gigs that the folk there have ever been to.

^ If you were the Scots guy who requested ‘I Wish I Was Your Mother’, then I think everyone owes you a beer.

I was at this gig and yes I did walk down the Uxbridge Rd thinking “F**k me” I thought the whole gig from start to end was amazing(even the first song Five Hearts Breaking, but that is one of my favourite Alejandro songs anyway). I flew down from Glasgow for this one and flew back up with a big smug grin on my face knowing that I had been at something special.

Thanks Alejandro and David if you ever get to read this.
